Tomra Michelle Vecere lives in Gloucester Massachusetts with her husband, Newfoundland Enzo, and a rotation of Guiding Eyes for the Blind pups in training. She grew up in Southern New Jersey working in the family restaurants and horse farms, a combination of businesses her grandparents and parents both maintained. She has always loved reading and writing; she started writing seriously in 2019 after the death of her brother Matt, a writer himself. She has evolved from writing angry letters to Congress to poetry and personal essays about her work at the Federal Aviation Administration, mental health, grief, and overcoming trauma. She has one adult daughter Rachel who has, against all odds, become a wonderful human.
